Stitch crashed straight into the Great Wall of China back in April, and as many fans know… He’s quite expensive in the after sales! Nearly two months after his original release date, sites like Mercari are now selling him for as much as $250! If you spend enough time scrolling through options, you can find this adorable plush for as cheap as $75; still a large jump from his original cost at only $30. If you do go looking for Stitch and his new companion Cricket, just make sure you look for the official emblem on his left foot! The only queston remaining, is he worth the cost?
As mentioned before, series twelve of Stitch crashes Disney took him far from Hawaii, to the Great Wall of China. Here he met Mulan and Mushu, he was so inspired by their bravery in the war that he decided to get “tattoos” in their honor! On his back you will find images of Mushu in gold print, and his stomach has “Mulan” written in golden, traditional Chinese text- a beautiful symbol of the culture! While he was off touring the Great Wall of China, Stitch also found a companion in Cricket! The lucky cricket got more than just a golden mark however, he decided to head back to Hawaii with Stitch! On Stitch’s head you will find a smaller plushie atttached; and that plushie is none other than Cricket, the lucky insect himself!

True fans of the film may remember when Hua Zhou (Mulan’s father) told her that “the flower that blooms in adversity, is the most rare and beautiful of them all;” throughout the rest of Stitch’s body you will find beautiful blossoms. This is another wonderful symbol; however, this time it is in symbolance of the love Mulan’s father had for her, along with the journey she took to bloom into the amazing woman would become by the end of the movie. Stitch did quite some blooming in his own movie too! I’d consider this symbol the perfect inclusion to the plush!
The fabric itself is soft and smooth, and the stitching is well done- even where Cricket is attached. The plush itself is about 15 inches tall with vibrant colors from ears to paws! Over all, I believe that this plushie is worth the cost if you search around for one that is in the $75 range, but if you do not have extra money just lying about, then $250 is simply too steep a price! So will you be getting a plushie of you own? If you do tell me your own thoughts below, and if you don’t what would you like to read about next? Comment below! Until next time.
